Television Support and Education - Television Troubleshooting
The first step is to reset the set top box by disconnecting the small round electrical cord from the back. Leave it out for 15 seconds and plug it back in. The screen will go to a logo and then to a loading message indicating it is in the process of resetting. If this does not work, try disconnecting the electricity to the modem — the square box with green flashing lights. Leave this out for 15 seconds, plug it back in, and allow it to reset. Check the status of the TV after reset.
This indicates that the box temporarily has lost the signal. Disconnect the power cord from the box and reconnect after 15 seconds. (Bluffton, Beaufort, Hardeeville, Ridgeland, and Pooler customers only.)
If your TV is connected to the set-top box with a coax cable, your TV must be tuned to Channel 3 or 4 to receive a signal through a converter box. Go directly to the TV or use the TV remote to verify the channel. If you do not have a box, make sure the TV is programmed for CATV and not antenna. Also, try clicking TV - Video Source multiple times until selecting the correct input. If your TV is connected through HDMI, or if you need additional assistance, the Hargray team is here to help.
